On a highly sloped plot with the access on the upper side, we designed a compact house in contact with the street and the north side of the plot, freeing spaces on the south side. In order to get the best views, the volume spins its direction looking for the seaside front. The resulting house responds to the two main features of the plot: the perspectives on the sea and the hill slope.Save this picture!© Adria GoulaSave this picture!PlanSave this picture!PlanSave this picture!© Adria GoulaOn the other hand, the lower floor is oriented following the hill direction in order to grant a better contact with the natural plot, creating at the same time a terrace on the main floor that gets wider as it reaches the south side. The final volume is resolved with an inclined eave tailored according to the land topography that preserves the general linearity of the house. This specific solution improves the interior spaces and their exposure to the sun. The living areas of the house are disposed around the fireplace, creating a sequence of double-height spaces oriented to south, bringing sunlight inside the house.Save this picture!© Adria GoulaNext to the dining room there is a nice outdoor space protected by a sunshade that fosters its outdoor life. In the bisecting line of the two main volumes we placed a spiral staircase that incorporates intermediate slabs of generous dimensions that becomes part of the programme. On the lower floor, the arrival of the stairs is used as a polyvalent space with an outdoor exit. In general lines, it is a house where both the exterior and the interior are designed to enjoy the Mediterranean climate, placing all the main spaces on the south side, in front of the seaside.Save this picture!© Adria GoulaSave this picture! Save this picture!© Adria GoulaProject gallerySee allShow lessYǏN Fine Jewelry Boutique / oddSelected ProjectsNova Pets Store / say architectsSelected Projects Share Save this picture!© Adria Goula+ 31Curated by Clara Ott Share “COPY” ShareFacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsappMailOrhttps://www.archdaily.com/925350/casa-en-tamariu-05-am-arquitectura Clipboard Projects Area:  338 m² Year Completion year of this architecture project 2018center_img Houses Joan Arnau, Carme Muñoz Photographs Tamariu House / 05 AM ArquitecturaSave this projectSaveTamariu House / 05 AM Arquitectura Lead Architects: ShareFacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsappMailOrhttps://www.archdaily.com/925350/casa-en-tamariu-05-am-arquitectura Clipboard Spain CopyAbout this office05 AM ArquitecturaOfficeFollow#TagsProjectsBuilt ProjectsSelected ProjectsResidential ArchitectureHousesOn FacebookSpainPublished on September 25, 2019Cite: “Tamariu House / 05 AM Arquitectura” [Casa en Tamariu / 05 AM Arquitectura] 25 Sep 2019. EPL: Newcastle in takeover talks with Saudi Crown Prince after Man Utd bids

first_imgMike Ashley is in talks to sell Newcastle to the Saudi Arabia sovereign-wealth fund, it has been claimed. The influential Wall Street Journal are reporting the Saudi’s are considering buying the Tyneside club for £340m. It is the latest stage of Saudi Arabia focusing on sports and entertainment as part of economic reforms to improve the countries standing. Amanda Staveley watches on from the stands The WSJ are reporting that the prospective buyer is the Public Investment Fund, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s key investment vehicle. Newcastle fans will be sceptical after several years of aborted or false claims being made from parties said to want to buy the club. There have been many businessmen trying to scrape together the cash to meet Ashley’s demands, but he has pledged only to sell if to someone with the clout to invest and revamp the club. The financier Amanda Staveley is mentioned by the WSJ as organising investors to join the buy-out. She has lurked for a couple of years, including claiming bids had been made, but never been able to strike a deal. A Saudi buy out would be controversial and reopen the debate about the nation’s “sportswashing” using events like golf and boxing to improve the country’s image. Newcastle have yet to comment on the claim. Ashley, who bought United for £134m and has loaned the club £110m, met Steve Bruce two weeks ago and sanctioned January transfer plans. The club is looking secure in the Premier League and likely to avoid relegation, making it a more saleable asset. FacebookTwitterWhatsAppEmail分享 last_img read more

Tennis: Murray Now World No 1

first_imgAndy Murray says he feels “very proud” to become the first British singles player to be world number one since computerised rankings began in 1973. The Scot, 29, needed to reach the final of the Paris Masters to replace Novak Djokovic – and did so when Milos Raonic pulled out before their semi-final.Murray won Wimbledon and Olympic gold in 2016, reached 11 finals in 12 events and won a personal record 73 matches.“I never thought I’d be number one in the world,” he told BBC Sport. “It’s been many years of work to get here. It’s been such a difficult thing to do because of how good the guys around me have been.” Murray, who has won three Grand Slam titles, two Olympic gold medals and helped Britain win the Davis Cup in 2015, will be officially confirmed as world number one when the revised rankings are released tomorrow.Novak Djokovic had topped the rankings for 122 weeks, and completed his career Grand Slam by beating Murray in the French Open final in June, his 12th major title.Djokovic also won this year’s Australian Open, and Murray said: “The year that Novak has had, barring the last six weeks or so, has been incredible. The year I’ve had to have to barely get there has been unbelievably difficult. I’ve had to work extremely hard.”Roger Federer (17) and Rafael Nadal (14) have won a combined 31 Grand Slam titles, many coinciding with Murray’s rise through the rankings. He will play John Isner in today’s Paris Masters final, after Raonic pulled out with an injury to his right quad. Isner beat Marin Cilic 6-4 6-3 in the semi-finals.Djokovic, 29, would have retained his number one ranking had he reached the final – but Cilic beat him in the quarter-finals on Friday.A player’s ranking is determined by his best 18 tournament results over the preceding 52 weeks. Murray is the second-oldest player to debut at number one behind John Newcombe, who was 30 years and 11 days old when he achieved the feat in 1974.Murray holds the record for the longest time between first becoming number two and becoming number one – seven years and over two months. His seven stints at number two are tied with Mats Wilander and Stefan Edberg for the longest in the ATP’s database of week-by-week records, which goes back to June 1984.Seven players since June 1984 have never become number one after becoming number two: Michael Stich, Goran Ivanisevic, Michael Chang, Petr Korda, Alex Corretja, Magnus Norman and Tommy Haas.Share this:FacebookRedditTwitterPrintPinterestEmailWhatsAppSkypeLinkedInTumblrPocketTelegramlast_img read more
