The company’s “Sport Track Challenge” was the “first-of-its-kind auto cross,” said Celia Vet, event coordinator for RediAuto. It featured races with both disabled and able-bodied competitors. Vet said there were 24 competitors, 12 of whom were disabled. Most of those, she said, are paraplegic. The company supplies the hand controls that allows disabled drivers to control the cars. The company is the only one that supplies adaptive equipment to enable stick-shift driving for the disabled. – From staff reports 160Want local news?Sign up for the Localist and stay informed Something went wrong.
