The manner of the victory made it extra special, Donegal ran out comfortable six-point winners in the end, with McHugh bagging two sensational goals.Brogan has claimed Dublin were caught on the hop by Donegal and that he and his colleague didn’t leave it out all on the pitch. He also admitted on The Late Late Show that he hasn’t been able to watch a repeat of the match. However, McHugh has refuted those claims and said that’s just what you say when you’re beat. McHugh told The Irish Daily Star, “It’s just a natural thing to say when you don’t win.“Bernard said they mightn’t have left everything on the pitch, but the same thing happened to us in the All-Ireland final.“You need the wee rub of the green, the wee bit of luck.“We probably got it against Dublin, and Kerry probably got it against us.McHugh has a hectic schedule at the minute, he’s involved with the Donegal U21 and Senior sides, his own club Kilcar and will also be in Sigerson Cup action for Sligo IT who are managed by his father Martin. McHugh is in favour of condensing the GAA season.McHugh added, “It’s a long season, especially for a young lad. I’m in the thick of it at the minute. I played in a county U21 club final on the 20th of December. I think I got about two weeks off and then back training again.“There is so much football to be played and there would be a few tweaks they could make but it’s not easy. I can understand their headaches.”MCHUGH HITS BACK AT DUBLIN STAR WHO CLAIMS THAT DONEGAL CAUGHT THEM ON THE HOP was last modified: January 21st, 2015 by Mark ForkerShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Tags:Bernard BrogandonegaldublinGAAnewsRyan McHughSportlast_img
